D-Sub on mobo

The mobo I am working with has a defective Vga.
no agp, no pci-e
pci only
Other options I have to fix this?
I was thinking getting a pci card....(the pc Is not needed for games)

How are you sure it's a defective VGA connection. Have you tested the board with another card(IE PCI as mentioned) A bad motherboard will also just display black. Its quite rare onboard video dies. When it goes, the board's usually toast.

Well the heatsink fan still works, I have not tested the board with a pci card..
