Guys,
any help would be appreciated a lot.
I bought an Intel bad axe 2 d975xbx2 a year ago, and my intention was to
get a board that was solid, tested and worked well with both MS OS and Linux.
It has worked perfect and continues to do so, except for my memory issues.
I have tried to trow in 4 gigs of memory often and none seems to work.
I recently purchased yet another 4 gig in 2 gig sticks from all4memory and they said it was guaranteed to to work with my board: 2gig pc2-6400: ICRD303-HY/800 Cl5
last time I tried this, I bought 2gig sticks of the exact same memory as I have in right now, which is corsair but only 1 gig. My board is supposed to hold up to 8 gig I thing, and none 2 gig sticks are working.
There is no beeps, no boot, no post what so ever, so I can't get into Bios...
do I need to go into BIOS and setup voltage levels and timings BEFORE I add the memory?
I thought this board would automatically detect this?
Thanks a lot,
Mike
