dads comp having problems

My dad has a dell L1000 with a p3 1000mhz cpu. When its on for about 3-4 hrs itll freeze on him, like the mouse and keyboard wont work, can anyone tell me if this is heat problems or what...its really weird and i dont know what to tell him.
 
prob a bit of dust in the computer....ever cleaned that out with a can of air? that dusk can create some serious heat buildup...especially after long periods of time.
 
We do have a compressor and have blown it out and also have have addded some fans just in the case with some zip ties but from here i dunno what to tell him.
