dads laptop hates powerpoint..?

My dad's laptop doesn't seem to want to open powerpoints. MOst of the time powerpoint freezes when opening, and the times when it actually opens, it freezes when he tries to change slides. We've tried reinstalling it and no luck...Anyone have any idea what's going on here?

The laptop is more than adequate to open Powerpoints..

Core duo 1.66ghz
2gb ram
x1400 mobility

I will post the exact model once he comes home with it.

I dont know to be honest,Im sorry.

Although why not send a Email to Microsoft support or something and see what they say.
