ATI 340m
hi, anyone else got a problem with openGL on this card??
come to think of it, what about Direct3D also??
when im running say, half life (good example because it runs in D3D, OpenGL and software) i can run in software mode perfectly, i can also run in D3D, but after a while my laptop resets, and OpenGL is apparantly unsupported.
with all D3D apps, they tend to reset the laptop at some point.
and i cant run ANY OpenGL app's (eg: RTCW, MOH:AA, call of duty etc.)
is there a patch or something for this card? because at the moment im using the latest ATI catylist and latest drivers (took a bit of effort to get the drivers to work, but it seems ok).
there are stock drivers that were last updated in 2004 that i could use, but thats WAY too old to be useful i think, and im still not sure if it would then support it. it was very unstable last time i tried it in D3D apps.
can someone please suggest a way to get OpenGL applications to work on this graphics card?
cheers
