Hey I did not play demon souls but it was recommended to me.... im trying to save money by not hitting up the bars etc so I was thinking about picking these two games up.... anyone played demon souls or dark souls and not enjoyed it?
 
Demon's Souls is extremely difficult... they've extended the online servers to sometime next year - though you'll be able to continue playing it when they're down, just not with others. (which I can see making it more difficult... and I haven't even made it that far in.)
Definitely a good buy if you're up for a challenge.

Dark Souls is out today - same creators as Demon's Souls. I even got one of the promotional shirts from work.. "Live through a million deaths and earn your legacy." Back of the case literally says "Prepare to Die."
I'm picking it up, and I'm going to prepare for another "YOU'RE GOING TO GET MAD AT ME" game that I shall enjoy thoroughly.
 
I never played Demon's Souls because I don't own a PS3, but seeing all these positive reviews of Dark Souls and the promise that, while it is difficult, it is a very rewarding game is making me really want to buy it for xbox.
 
Pick it up. Just do it. Demon souls is very difficult, but it wouldn't be a good game if it wasn't. Amazing experience. I'm picking up Dark souls as soon as I have the cash.
