DDR or DDR2

Hi!
I have a PC home and I want to change a few components in it.I want to change the graphics card as well,but my system is compatible only with DDR.
I want to ask that if I buy a card wich supports DDR2 or DDR3 is compatible with my system or no?

It's actually called GDDR when talking about graphics card memory, but yeah it'll work.

Your graphics card's memory has nothing to do with your system memory. So any kind of graphics card (as long as you have the compatible slot, eg. pci, agp, PCI-Express) will work.
