DDR2 to DDR3?

Hello, im about to buy a new Graphics Card to my computer, my ATi Radeon X1550 is breaking down... so im about to buy a new one (Topic about it:http://www.computerforum.com/202886-my-beloved-ati-radeon-x1550-breaking-down.html)..
at the same time im thinking about upgrading my RAM since i now only have 512mb RAM (How can i live with that o.O?)...
right now my RAM are DDR2 (Type).. so i was just wondering that can i just-like-that replace it with DDR3 (Type) RAM Sticks? or are there some problems with that (or are they exactly same looking?), like does a DDR3 fit a DDR2 thingy....

and some little questions about RAMs...
what's the difference with Kingston's ValueRAM and HyperX and BLU?
and what does ECC mean? (most RAMs are Non-ECC)
what does SR stand for?
is there much difference with CL5 and CL9? (DDR2 cheap ones are CL5, and DDR3 is CL9)

so i would need to change mobo for it? (DDR2 --> DDR3)
Yes, however chances are you would need to get a new CPU as well. If you want to go that route, you're better off just building a new computer.

also with a new mobo means a new copy of windows. and also it is best to buy everything at once when building so you don't get stuck with last years tech when there's new things out that are faster for either the same price, a little more, or sometimes less, ie, the 2600k is faster than any other i7 and costs less than most of them too, but if someone had bought the mobo to buy the cpu later, he'd be stuck with a slower higher priced cpu

Usually you can just call up Microsoft and re-activate.

im thinking about buying an Club 3D/nVidia GeForce GT 440 2gb, DDR3...
will there be problems when my computer is DDR2, and my GPU is DDR3?
would this work out? (2gb RAM(DDR2)).. pls answer quickly

There will be no issues. It doesn't matter what memory the computer uses as long as the video card will work in the video slot you have. Pci-express won't work in an agp slot.
