DDR3 Higher Speed Vs Lower Timings?

As long as your motherboard supports it (you may need to manually set the speed), get the DDR3-1800.

Going with the OCZ Reaper 1600's 8Gb. It has just the right price. Too bad the triple channel kit it cheaper....

Higher speed as long as the mobo supports it. My 1600, even though at a cas latency of 9, is faster than my old ddr2-1066 ram with a CL of 5.

OCZ Reaper 1600 7-7-7-24
OCZ Reaper 1333 6-6-6-20

Comparing such two modules, running at that speed, try and calculate the actual latency. The first one is faster both in mhz and in latency.

Correct, but ddr3-1600 with a CL of 7 is pretty expensive. I paid $70 for 2X2gb of ddr3-1600 with a CL of 9, and as I said earlier it's faster than my old 1066 ddr2 CL5.
