dead computer screen, fix?

so, my mother gave me a computer screen that is rock dead, it just doesn't work, no sign of life at all, plugged in to a computer or not. it would be nice if i got it to work, but i have no idea how i can fix this. it's an HP screen. so, is there any way i can fix it?

Unless you have a good background in practical electronics it would be a hopeless task. On top of that, without any schematics it would take forever. You could check the power supply, switches and any fuses if you have a digital multimeter but that is the only easy part. You should get something happening when you turn it on, even if not connected.
