Dead Hard Drive

hey guys, i know the drive is dead. MTF is 50,000 hrs and i got about twice that of it so its no suprise it went. as far as i can thell the cylinders and plates are fine but it wont power on. I've tried a usb bay, 2 computers and a spare powersupply with a shorted the 24 pin head and none will power it on.

As far as i know i cant get the stuff off it, but was wondering if anyone knew of a method.

haha, this is from my gamming RIG, my minesweeper high score isn't worth that much. I know there's no way to get the data back, save that, just thought this would be a good opertunity to check if theres some sort of new gizmo or something I'm not up-to-date on.
 
Well...you could try something like replacing the motor for the disk, although I'm not sure how user-accessible it is. It's probably not worth the hassle.
