Dead Pixels - Is there a way of geting rid?

I have a dead pixel on my new screen, and i was wondering is there a way of geting rid of it? It is fairly annoying as it is in the middle of screen

There is one method that people have said worked well (stuck pixels only). You should be able to download a small app that flashes different colors very rapidly on your LCD.

Another method would be to massage the stuck pixel (careful not to damage more pixels!).

These methods and others can be found via a google search. remember you proceed at your own risk .

Edit:

Thought I'd mention... there is little you can do with dead pixels, chances are they will never work. A dead pixel would be one that is black.
