Does this mean my VERY expensive memory has died? Basically, my comp crashed while playing GTA:SA and WMP10, then it just freezed. Turned off at back, turned back on, and now get this message.

There just software issues:)

Nothings wrong with your board.

I get them issues with SAMP all the time, I can't even run the app!

Nothing to do with my board. Just corrupt software somewhere.

Try re openeing the app and see if it works.. if not just reinstall it:)

Not looking good at all. Reinstalled SAMP and GTA, same problem. Haven't reinstalled Windows, but I dont have the time right now. I think turning it off at the power supply during the freeze was a bad idea.

I trun mine off at the back alot when i get a system freeze as to do the power button I have to open thye panel:P

You say you get problems with GTA itself?

Are they exaclty the same probs as what you had with SAMP?

well yea, that would indeed eliminate memory as a problem. i'd say its software too... i'd back everything important up and reinstall windows.

Installed it, didnt help. Definately isnt the memory though, as I ran 2 instances of memtest, each up to 250%.
I would download memtest86+ It's a bootable and more reliable MEMtest program, because it can use al the ram which it can't while in windows. I would suggest running it overnight.

Still most likly not the problem, but it's best to compltly elimiate it.

It's also "possible" its VRAM, but even more unlikly.

Well, I reformatted and reinstalled windows yesterday, haven't got it back to normal yet (only just got firefox on before going to work).

Annoyingly, forgot to copy my bookmarks file to import in. Will have to use my awful memory to get them back.

If SAMP still wont work, I'll run memtest86.

are you running service pack 2? i really don't believe reformatting and reinstalling the OS will fix this issue i guess its worth a shot tho...also try running ad aware and/or spybot...and does this happen ona ny other programs but SAMP?

Yes, running SP2, but I had not installed BEFORE the freeze. What I had installed, running on start-up etc did not change. All that happened that set this off was the game freezing, and me switching the computer off at the power supply.

Only happens on SAMP, which is why I favour it being software-related. Just about to install SAMP, so, fingers crossed.

EDIT: Somewhere in all the reinstalling, the problem disappeared. Now to get XBCD GTA profile working...
