So here is my setup:
AMD 2200+
1.8Ghz
1 Gb of Ram
Radeon 9800 Pro
Yet in Counter-Strike:Source and other newer PC games my fps is low. In Counter-Strike:Source for example, even with all the lowest settings, my average fps is at 20-30. During big gun fights with 5 or more people near by, it'll drop in the teens and sometimes to the single digits. I figure with a set up like this I should be getting 40 fps easy. Older games such as Counter-Strike 1.6 run fine at 60fps.
Could anybody point me in some directions to fix this problem? or is this setup actually not good for the game?
