Decent Wireless Network Card?

Alright so I've been through two extremely cheap network cards on my computer so far, and typically they've done this thing where they'd be fine (30-70 ping) and then thered be points to where they would get 800-1k ping and sometimes 2k ping. Most of them I've totally destroyed through rage, or by messing with the antenna (or what have you one was a USB) until I got my ping back.

Is there anywhere I can get a network card that will frigen work, and I'm pretty sure it's not my router because I had a laptop which had no problem with internet (other than -2 fps on most games).

I was thinking this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0054L9PWO/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF

or this one: http://www.wireless-reviews.com/routers/medialink-wireless-n-router-review

Sounds like more of a distance/interference issue. What is your signal strength on your computer? Are you currently running 802.11 b, g, or n? Is the antenna built onto the wireless card or does it have a cable that allows you to place it up higher?
