Decided to buy a new laptop

I have decided to retire my 2 year old Toshiba, and while I have an Asus g-series gaming notebook, I decided to grab something new so my little cousin can game on the Asus as I really don't use it much for games and he likes games but doent even have a computer.

Machine is an Acer Gemstone 8930-6555. I think the previous 8920's gemstone were released in March 08' but this is the newest one.

i wish i had thought about that before our dollar broke through...could have got it nice and cheap. That truly is an awesome price. do you find the large screen overly cumbersome?

We have an Acer supplier from Markham, Ontario Canada that we use and I decided to take advantage.

I actually havent used it yet...but the 18.4" isnt much more than a 17" which I've been using for 2+ now on 2 different machines.

It's the 1920x1080 res that will be stunning for movies and such.
