I'll be using the machine for college, and really don't want to spend more than $500. I'm open to other suggestions, but I'm mainly deciding between these two.
The G6 is not as asthetically pleasing, has a bigger harddrive (not terribly important to me), bluetooth, and no USB 3.0 port. The battery is supposed to not last as long, and the computer has a fifty dollar rebate, which is nice.
The Probook is essentially the same computer as I see it, but nicer looking, a nicer keyboard, smaller HDD, no Bluetooth (I believe), and 1 USB 3.0 port. However, the mic and headphone ports are on the front, which I'm not a huge fan of, and there's no rebate.
I'll be mostly using the machine for daily college use (not engineering stuff or anything), but occassionally I do a lot of audio mixing/recording, which I don't see being an issue for either computer. I would like to maybe play Fallout or something at some point, but that's not a sticking point either. So basically what it comes down to is how important is Bluetooth, how important might USB 3 be, and overall is either computer a better choice (possibly with the rebate in consideration)?
Thank you.
