Should I get a Visiontek ATi HD3870 and 2GB DDR2 RAM, Or a Sapphire ATi HD3850 and 4GB DDR2 RAM?

Are you in a situation where both combos cost the same? If so, go for the HD3850 and the 4GB of RAM. Difference in price between the HD3870 and the HD3850 is roughly $20 US on the other hand difference from 2GB RAM to 4GB RAM is approx $40 US.

Yeah, I guess either one is a good choice.

For one, do you have a 64-bit operating system? if not, the 1.75GB of the 4GB will be a complete waste because 32-bit only reads 3.75GB of RAM.

Either way, I would get the 3870 now and 2GB, then, later on, if you feel you want more RAM, get it when you save up more money.

And I said the HD3850 and 4GB was better looking at it price-wise. But I guess you guys are right, performance-wise might be a bit better with the HD3870 + 2GB.
