Decked out Laptop comparison

Hello everyone. I am going to get a laptop in the near future, and I need something portable, reliable, but also something that will run games and graphics programs.
I've decided on either the Dell Inspiron E1705 or the Acer Travelmate 8200, both with just about every performance option available.

With all the performance options, the Dell costs a bit more, and apparently the Acer performs better. I'm just not sure how reliable Acer's notebook / customer support is in general. I'm not a laptop genius, but I have done some research, so if someone could explain the situation to me, and a little computer talk is ok

I would say Acer's support is pretty good. I've talked to them many of times even to answer a few questions. Emails, I get a reply same day. As for the choice on systems, I'd also get the Acer over the Dell. Yes the Dell can have a nifty 7800 video card, but I'll do just fine with the X1600, stylish design and the Dell is a huge, fat, heavy beast of a computer (as all dells are).
