Dedicated Bitcoin Generator?

Just for fun, what would a parts list for a completely dedicated bitcoin generating desktop be looking like? I'm interested what you guys think.

A "mining" setup is going to consist of a very strong GPU. There are many companies that create prebuilt ASIC machines, but the main thing is Bitcoins are hard to mine, and the mining setups typically use more $ in electricity then generated.

Guide I like a lot: http://www.coindesk.com/information/how-to-set-up-a-miner/

Not sure what anybody else has to say, but personally, I don't like mining even if my parents pay for my electricity..

I may end up doing a bit at college..

Hahaha thats a nice guide. I really don't plan on doing any mining; I was just wondering what a system set up might look like. Now I know, a bunch of GPUs and a bunch of fans

There's zero chance of mining with CPU/GPU and getting a return on your investment.

Parts just depends on what kind of a hash rate you wanted to have.

Well yeah of course, the most you can get with a GPU is a nice megahash rate, CPU even less. But an easily built system is what that would consist of, haha.

Basically as high of an AMD video card as you can get. Due to architecture AMD GPU's completely crush NVIDIA cards in mining.

Of course if one decided to go with GPU mining which is as beers mentioned tooootally unprofitable. I believe you might see a cracked algorithm like once a month, if not more now at the difficulty rate which is totally outweighed by the electricity consumption
