So some laptop I have been looking at either come with a Intel HD 4000 or a Nvidia 710m GT. From what I have read the 710m and HD 4000 are in par so why would a manufacture offer the option for the 710m, or is there a perk?

FuryRosewood: Yeah some of people's biggest complaints on that notebook was the GPU which I assumed who where people thought "It's Nvidia so it should play games" but people should realize a gaming notebook does not measure .8" thick and 8 hours battery life.

jonnyp11: That was my thoughts, I don't do anything crazy since most games I play on a PC are older and I have a gaming console but I do some video editing which I like to add animated 3D title sequences which my current i3 and HD 3000 cannot handle and having some cuda cores and dedicated memory as a plus.
