my friend is selling his computer and he wants to clean it up and stort it all out. like reinstall xp and so on. so he asked my what he should do about his hdd and i told him to format it. and he asked me if it would clean everything as he said he has heard that when you do something on your computer it gets stores what has happened and it can be stored up to 3 times.
so im a little unsure as to what he means so how could he deep clean his hdd so it is basically like it was when he bought it? factory settings. im still trying to understand what he wants fully but can anyone help? could a simply format just sort it out? thanks
