Default Linux install for HP 2133

Anyone know of a link for an .iso file of the default linux for the HP 2133? The HP site only has the source code .iso for download. I don't need anything else, just to download the default OS. I believe it is based off OpenSuse 10 but it is different. I contacted HP and they said I have to get the DVD from them, but I would just like to download it. I am about to move from Korea to U.S. so mailing is not an option.

Again, I don't want any other operating system. Thanks. :D

any Linux should work on it, but get a light weight one. DSL, CrunchBang, or debiannet would be fine for it. No way would any Ubuntu be the right option.

Debian with LXDE is pretty lightweight, that would work wouldnt it? They can order the disks if needbe for like four quid :)

That would be covered in Debiannet. DN is just the debian core. You add onto it as you see fit to make it work.

Personally, on that low power system I would just reinstall what it come with and hope for the best. We are talking about an ARM netbook after all.

I think I will be the only one who understood you don't want any other OS. I don't know what custom stuff Hp did to opensuse but you can get a copy of opensuse 10 on piratebay and since open source it is legal. If I may say though you should run opensuse 12.3 since opensuse 10 is not supported at all anymore. Maybe run opensuse 12.3 LXDE which will make that notebook fly. All your call though.

yeah only default install. i knew everyone would post about other OS... its like 'ooh shiny object. DIVERSION!' lol!

I'm not sure what it would be named. I know it is 'based' off 10.1 OpenSuse but looks nothing like it. If I knew what it was named I could download it. I have tried all the others but the default install works best.

Probably works best due to some custom drivers. I had bought a netbook back when they first became big, it was a Dell Mini 9 which ran Ubuntu 8.04 but from what I learned when running other operating systems on there that there was this custom driver which was fine as long as it was Ubuntu running on there but anything took a little more work and would still run into problems.
