default video/audio players

Is there anyway to set which program should be the default audio and video player. If there is a selection within the program that I need to make, then I want WINAMP for audio, and Nero Showtime for video. thanks
 
You can just go to my computer, view, folder options, then file types and chage there, or you can shift/right click on the file, and you should get an Open With option. Select the prog you want, then tell it to always use that program

Of course, any progs also have menus somewhere that allows you to select/deselect what's associated with it...
