Deleted family photos by mistake. Help.

I ran a program installer and dozens of family photos in folders on my desktop were deleted along with this program. Any ideas on how to recover them within a restricted budget?

I would sincerely appreciate any help.
 
Yes I did and they werent there, I d/l'ed some free restoration software and was able to restore a majority of them. Thanks anyways....
