deleted my audio drive

Hi

I think i deleted my audio drive by accident.In the control panel it says no audio device.I have tried to down load a new audio drive but with no success.I use an old hp notebook Compaqnc 6400.im wondering would the next step be to bring it to a repair shop?

Any advice is appreciated ,thanks

This should be the correct driver for you. Uninstall whatever ou tried to install before so it doesn't conflict.

This is were i tried to download it from earlier and it said my microsoft is from the year 2000 and im using xp so it didn't work.Will i need to reinstall windows again
