on my daughters computer there appears to be a game called Football Frenzy which is only found on "add/remove" program. it shows it is using 243mb.
cannot find any trace of this game or remember loading it. as it is taking up room on the drive which has limited space left, wishing to delete it, clicking "remove" makes it come up with "feature is on cd rom or removable disk"...... insert disc and click ok.
not having disk or knowing about the game how can i get rid of this.
when clicked on "go to support info" comes up with Publisher Ubisoft & Trecision with Ubisoft www.address. they say they dont recognize it!!!!!!!!!!!
HELP
many thanks

Well besides getting shut off of the reply here ShockWave needed to be installed just to post a response with the actual link for Football Frenzy as seen at the game maker's site. http://sikids.com/games/footballfrenzy/ You must be 18 or older plus install a Google tool bar. No thank you there!
Having the cd would make for easy removal with the uninstaller there. You may find a FFrenzy_uninstaller.exe or something similar on the drive already in one of the game's sub folders. Use Windows Explorer to browse and double click on the executable if found. The other method here will take longer and needs to be done with care.
Here's where the msconfig utility can be a help at times to make sure no part of the program is active by disabling it in the startup group seen in the msconfig screen and the "Start menu\settings\Start menu\add/remove" section to delete any folder seen there. After the add/remove is used you type in msconfig at the Run prompt also off of the Start menu and press enter.
On the far right is the startup group where you simply go in there and uncheck any listing with that name only on it. If nothing is found simply exit where you will be asked if you want to restart the system which you want if anything was found in the settings\start menu\add/remove section. With no part of the game being able to load right click the main folder in Program Files and send it to the recycle bin. The last item is a good registry cleaner for removing any entries there.
RegClean and RegSupreme are two system registry utilities that can locate and remove unattached registry values along with selecting the ones you want individually removed. Installed programs will appear in the main window in RegSupreme. There if you spot Football Frenzy simply put a check mark in the small box or boxes next to the one or more value and clcik on the remove button next to the exit at the bottom right side. You download the shareware utility at http://www.webmasterfree.com/regcleaner.html 30 day trial
