dell 2005 and 2405 tft

if your box has a scart connection (which i think it does) you'll need a scart to s-video converter. however you wont have any audio signal going to the screen like a tv so you'll need a separate audio solution
 
also one more question you know the apple 30 inch and dell 30 inch when it comes out they use dual dvi i dont understand are the graphics cards more powerfull or do you need 2 dvi cables for one monitor, or is one for one monitor and the other one for another monitor,

if you mean why do graphics cards have two dvi outputs then thats because it allows you to have two displays with only one graphics card.
however, i think with regards to the monitors having two dvi inputs then i would guess thats for picture in picture but i cant be sure without having a look at the specifications
 
no i mean the dual dvi graphics cards, the 30 inch apple display needs it because its res so high does the monitor take 2 dvi connectors or one connector for one screen while other one for another screen to have 2 monitors
 
just found out why you need two dvi inputs, it turns out the resolution exceeds the bandwidth offered by a single dvi interface, therefore you need a geforce 6800 gt or ultra DDL card. i believe these cards a scpecifically designed to detect a monitor such as the apple 30" as one monitor while using 2 dvi ports. hope that answers your question
 
so you need the two dvi ports just for one monitor? or you can have 2 30 inch apple monitors. also one more qustion do the dual dvi cards take different dvi cable or is it the same cable
 
two dvi ports for one monitor, i also believe there's a limited choice of graphics cards that can support this montior
 
also the DELL 3007FPW is coming out soon isnt it but people say for this big monitor you need a dual link dvi card is this true
 
the apple and equivalent dell monitors you mention use the same panel, so the assumption that they both need dual dvi cards is correct
 
i got the dell ultrasharp 20.1 widescreen lcd for $354 free shipping (it was on sale but at least they still have their free shipping offer) and it's awsome playing games/dvds in widescreen (especially HL2,CS:Source,Far Cry,World of Warcrap in which these games support widescreen resolutions)

yes get the 2405FPW cuz i've seen screen shots of the 2405FPW with the xbox360 connected using the component input...picture looks amazingly Hi-Def...well not very sure if that monitor is hd ready but it does have a component input which is used for HD
