hello , my happy little dell computer is f***** up again , ,, i arrive from working hoping i could finaly play some wow, and i found out my mom screwed up my pc :D ,,, now i think its my hard drive...when i restart ,my pc it says

Loading PBR for descriptor 2...done.

A disk read error occurred
Presss Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart

i dont know wth she did, but am so pissed of ...
ps: i called dell . and some guy said i had to buy a new hard drive

please let me know what u think or know , about that problem !!!

Dell PCs have three partitions, a hidden utility partition, the Windows partition and a hidden restore partition.. if there is a problem detecting one of the partitions, in the PBR, the PC might lock up at startup and show an error message 'loading PBR for Descriptor 1, 2 or 4 ..done' (could be either number.)

Do you have a floppy drive? If so, you can download ntfs4dos, copy it to a floppy, run it in your other PC at bootup, you'll need to run 'chkdskg.exe' from the floppy

...thx for the info . only understand like 1/2 of what u said tho , am not that smart in pc ,,, please how do u it if u dont have a floppy disk drive ? on my dell ,
 
You'll need to create a bootable CD
