DELL D600 is heating up!!

Hey guys,

My Dell has been feeling very hot lately....the area where the HDD is is the hottest part. I downloaded speedfan and it gave me two temps....

HD0: 48C
Temp1:26C

Not really sure what the second number is referring to, but if someone could tell me why this is happening and what I can do to correct it, that would be great.

instaler better fans, get HDD coolers, get a better HSF for your CPU.... just to name a few

I have never opened up a laptop before...is it pretty straight forward?

Pretty much, but as for the HD heating up. That's normal, many will go as high as 60c and up. It's still within normal operating temps. If you want a cooler running HD, you can get a slower drive.
