Dell e521

I bought a brand new Dell e521 from a store last Saturday. It was marked down from 498.. to 298.00 because someone stole half the memory out of it. It has 250 gig harddrive in it. It is a 1.9 ghz Athlon 64 dual core . I replaced the memory with 2 one gig sticks of pc2 5300 ddr2-667 mhz . I now have almost 2.5 gig of ram in it . I spent about 50.00 on the memory. Should I keep the system or sell it? Also can anyone tell me how fast the 1.9 dual core actually is ? Is it closer to say 3.0 ghz of the older systems non dual core?

I also was wondering if the 800 mhz ddr2 memory would work and if it was better than the 667 I have now?

Thats a great deal! The 1.9GHz dual core AMD is a nice mid-ranged laptop processor, it can't be compared to the older processors though, because it's different technology and it's a dual-core.

Also, I don't believe DDR2 800 would work, DDR2 667 is the fastest that the motherboard supports.
