Hi, I'm not very technical, but recently I found out how to get detailed info on my computer specs (Start > Run > type in "DxDiag"), and that reassured me that they weren't the greatest. (Only 1.8ghz processor, ATI Radeon Xpress 1150 Graphics Card etc.)
I signed up to Computer Forum for the very reason of getting some help upgrading my Dell Inspiron 1501 craptop
D) (By the way, sorry if there's already a thread/section about this sort of stuff, I haven't looked very thoroughly)
So, I would like some info on how I can upgrade my laptop (like what motherboards/processors etc are actually compatible with the Inspiron 1501 etc), and then what specific parts I can buy, please (I thought I might try getting a new motherboard for the sockets that I need to install a better processor - for under £100 (oh I'm British) I can get a new motherboard and a 3.0ghz processor
. This probably doesn't work though...).
I don't really want to spend too much, around £150 tops. By the way, I'm doing this mainly for gaming. The recently released Runes of Magic requires 2.0ghz processor minimum (It really looks awesome. If you like MMORPGs, or have ever wanted to play WoW, then get this. Basically a free WoW with better graphics and features
. Sorry for that little bit of advertising :S)
Thanks, sorry that was so long.
