Dell Inspiron 8500 won't power up

My 8500 won't power up.

I live on a boat and left it on during a really hot day. When I got back hours later I was getting a video error message, don't remember what is was. I tried to reboot it and nothing happens. All I get is the indicator lights come on for a few seconds after pressing the power button. Any ideas what the problem might be?

Im assuming thats a lappy you've got ...
1. Boat...humidity... bad... could moisture have anything to do with it? (or salt etc)
2. Try plugging the laptop into a monitor to see if its the screen or the port (i.e., the mobo on the laptop) that got fried
