Alright, so i ordered my Inspiron a few week ago, recived it and the specs were as fallow:
Intel Core Duo 1.66ghz
1 gig of ram
80 gig 7200 rpm SATA133 HD
ATI x1400
The display with SXGA and trulife.
I installed most of my programs on there and i noticed that my hard drive was running our of room quickly. Then i remeberd that i had 2 500gig WDs in my desktop, and i was using this laptop as somwhat of a desktop replacement, i was wondering if i could add another hardrive, internally, a extetnal hardrive is not what i would like, i would like to add 1 more HD internally with the addition of the 80 gig that i have in here right now. Can i do this?

Those notebooks only have space for 1 hard drive internally you could put in a bigger hard drive but not 2.

You can buy an external enclosure, and install the drive in that. Then hook it up to our laptop via USB or FireWire.

he said he doesn't like external geoff...

in short i think you are screwed unless you buy another 2.5" of the desired size and take your current one out and replace it... but i think you can't go much bigger than 120 GB's if i remember correctly... maybe it's changed since i last looked...

EDIT: 160 GB is the largest HDD size i can find for a notebook...

My mistake, it looked like he said either internal or external is fine, since it's a desktop replacement.

Desktop drives are 3.5", so they wont fit in a laptop, and they have different connections as well.

i didnt mean to put a desktop drive in my laptop lol, i wanted to attempt to add another laptop HD internally, but from what i can see there isnt any room for it.

Thanks for the responses guys.
