Dell Inspiron - Vista Wont load up (even safe mode: crcdisk.sys)

My Vista Dell Inspiron (1521) won't boot up today, it just freezes on a black screen then wants to system repair but its been on for like 5 hours now.

I tried booting in safe mode but it freezes at crcdisk.sys

I can't lose anything on my hard drive as I use it for work.

Anyone got any solutions?

Hello,

You may have hosed the OS, not sure, but you can still retrive your files and back them up if its not a harddrive issue. Download a live linux distro, such as Ubuntu Live (FREE)
