Dell keeps rebooting

so my dell decided that today its the day to act up on me.
it shows the post screen, then it turns black is if it's gonna continue the boot process, then it reboots.
It just reboots after the post screen.
the ram is good, the hard drive & the dvd rom is good, i've reset the Bios, unplugged all devices etc but to no avail !!

what's causing this ? i really need to work :mad: :mad: !!

thx god i have a laptop !!
 
and once in there it is ok... huh, can you boot a live cd.

also i thought you needed the jumper touching the two not remove it...

dells are different :P
apparently i was wrong in my first post, it's my hard drive, cause right now i've put a 20GB in and am installing windows (if that will actualy work).
i will put my hard drive ( :eek: OMG, 160GB Data loss ? :mad: ) in a USB casing and see if it works or if i can get back my stuff.

i will update when am done

so i started the windows setup, started copying files,rebooted and it stays with a black screen !! wtf ?

edit : ok so i've manage to install windows on that 20GB, so this means my original hd has issues, damn
