:mad: My battery is on 1% since this morning. I have charged it, or shall i say tryed to charge throughout the day but it just wont charge. I can use my laptop, it just has to be plugged in the charger. In the lower right corner of the laptop [by the time and volume, etc. section], indicates that the charger is plugged in but everytime i unplug it, the indicator light keeps blinking red and a pop up says "battery very low" I have had this problem about 6 months ago and had to send it out to Dell. Thankfully, they fixed it. Unfortunately, I am not covered under warrenty anymore with Dell. I have noticed the last two days when I did plug in my laptop to be charged, the indicator wouldnt light up that my battery is charging [under the screen]. I have no clue why this problem is occuring again. Anyone have any suggestions? Also, my mouse pointer has been freaking out on me today. As if its doing things on its own...

did you charge the battery FULLY before using it for the first time? Some batteries have a memory which means the level at which you first stop charging or more precisely start using the batteries power- it remembers that charging point and won't charge further than that point anymore!! So If you start using the battery straight away without fully charging for the first time, then you will get very limited battery life.

Yes did you actually charge it fully before unplugging and started to use ago, and tell me how long ago, I had to buy 3 new batteries for my Laptop, in the past. due to the fail.
