Hi there guys newbie on here, my little brother got a laptop off eBay and we are looking for a wireless card for it. We've had it since December. I've tried registering on dell but they haven't sent me and email, I'm not sure what card there is which is for this laptop. Preferably we want a N1 Card,

Thanks in advance,
Benjamin

The d600's have built in wireless if im not mistaken, i know mine does. Be sure you just dont need drivers for it. They are tricky to find and will not be there if a fresh install of xp was put on the pc. If you need help finding where to see if it is just inactive/drvierless jsut reply!

best of luck

It still needs a wireless card in the MiniPCI slot. You can buy either an Intel 2200BG Wireless Card or a Dell TrueMobile 1450 card off ebay.

you need to find out if the standard card is still inplace, would mean getting a small screw driver and opening the flaps on the bottom (think its the one close to center)

if there is not a standard card present then go ahead and buy a one that either fits your usb or in the expansion slot on the side.

if the standard one is there you need to look on internet for the correct driver
