Hi.
I bought Dell Latitude D810 today and used it for 3 hours before the battery died but when I pluged it in to charge with the wall adapter I noticed the adapter is getting hot I'm not sure if this is normal or not, could you pls tell me if that's ok and is the laptop I bought is known for any kind of problems like that.
Thank you.

The original Power Adaptor for that model is: 90 Watt AC adapter
Although smaller wattage power adaptor will work, the power adaptor may get hot

Generally the Power Adaptor will get warm, but not hot enough that you cannot touch it

You can check Dell HERE on replacement parts, or chat with Dell directly HERE

its normal for the charger to be hot. Just make sure that your charger is not covered by a heat trapper such as a blanket or clothes. This can raise the temperature of ur charger and can lead to further damages.

I've had 2 dell laptops and both have had warm chargers while charging the laptop. Once it is fully charged the charger cools back down.
