dell latitude e6500 problem at windows startup

Hello! I have a problem when windows starts up. The windows logo shows(when booting), then the laptop displays a black screen that lasts for 36-37 seconds. I kept having this problem for 4-5 months, when i was running windows 7. I upgraded to windows 8 abut 3 weeks ago and the problem dissappeared, but it reappeared a week ago.

You either have an issue with the HDD going bad or possible other hardware issue. I would recommend doing a disk diagnostic on it using the hard drive makers disk diagnostic software.
