Dell Monitor

My monitor will not turn on. When plugged into my computer the standby light comes on, yet when i disconnect it, the 'on' light comes on and the message on screen advises me to check system cable or something along the lines. I hooked my old computer up to my screen and it worked perfectly. It has only stopped working yesterday suddenly after several months of perfect use.

Anyone able to help?

is it plugged into ur mobo slot or into ur video card? if its ur video card then try taking it out and putting it back in, if its not then try calling dell, if its a new dell and then can definitly help u
