Dell Notebook. XPS M1710. BEST for games and Video??

I would like to speak to anyone who owns or knows anything about the following Laptop.

DELL NOTEBOOK. XPS M1710. (originally $5800) (now about $3000)

I have just bought a INSPIRON DELL 9400 and I not happy with the graphics / the visuals on the screen.

i guess the ATI Mobility 128mb Radeon Card is not as good as what i hoped.

So - i am returning the p.c (under the trail perios in australia) and I am planing to get the DELL NOTEBOOK. XPX M1710.

I have read many reviews and most people seem to think its almost the best notebook on the market.

id like to learn more about it and hear fom people who may use it .

A big downfall is that dell says the batter only last around 2 hours.

thats pretty bad.

The p.c i have now, dell said will lastup to 6 hours.

but its only lasting around 3 hours (normal settings/contrast etc)

tdoes this mean the DELL NOTEBOOK. XPX M1710 will only last about 1 hour???

I would have to say that for gaming, the alienware Aurora m9700 is the best compueter for gaming. Its like not even a laptop so dont expect portability or battery life to be its big features. It has dual 512MB Nvidia GeForce Go 7900 with SLI for 1Gig of graphics memory. However it only has 2gig of memory for somereason.


In my opinion, almost every laptop has a horrific design that is impossible to use and they all run vista or xp. I prefer my macbook pro over any of other laptop as it is portable and powerful with all the right features and a great OS. It also runs many games faster than my friends fully loaded XPS M1710 which i find really funny as it is a gaming notebook.
