Dell Optiplez 745

I purchased a new Dell in March and have nothing but problems getting software loaded on onto it. It runs Vista Ultimate
I have been trying to get my new HP Officejet Pro L7680 loaded on to the computer and it gets to 96% complete and then just turns off. since it does not finish loading I am unable to use my scanner which is a huge problem. I know it is not an issue with the printer as I have tested it on my laptop (which runs XP) and all is well.
hoping someone can help me figure out what the problem is.

Running a printer has nothing to do with a psu.

Have you tried using the newest vista drivers for your printer?

I am listing a link to the drivers you need if you do not have them.

Vista has a lot of problems with older software. You might try looking at updated versions of the software you are running, or just checking to see if it is compatible with vista.
