dell power supply

I was wondering whether any standard power supply can be used to replace the dell one. They are hard to find or repair. help required.

Every Dell I've worked on that was bad from 1999 to today used a standard PSU. Most older ones should as well, but I'm positive about those.

I got a Dell in 2002 and bought a new PSU this year from Best Buy, works great (much better than the old sucky Dell one...)

Yea any PSU should be fine, just make sure the PSU gives you the power you need. Check how much power your current PSU supplies, and get the same or greater.
