Dell Studio XPS 16???

Hi all,

I actually want to buy Macbook Pro 15" (i5 processor) but it's $2199, a bit pricy. So I'm looking for something similar and found Dell Studio XPS 16 which is not just similar but even better performance and it's only $1449. Then I saw some poeple on internet complained that Dell got overheat issue so that make me stop and think again.

What do you reckon?

Thanks in advance.

Note - I'm a freelance photographer so I always use Photoshops CS5 and switch back and forth with Photoshop Lightroom3.2 all of the time so my old acer lady can't handle that anymore.

What is the full spec? $1500 seems to be expensive.
Are you in hurry of buying new laptop?

NVIDIA is going to release their new 400M series laptop video card. You will see laptops with that coming out soon.

If you are buying laptop now, I recommend you consider ASUS G51Jx with core i7-720QM and GTS 360m

Or consider ASUS G53JW when it release

Thanks for your advice. The full spec is in the link, E-value code: S541210AU.

My friend recommended Asus too, he said it's the best laptop ever but my problem is, I can't accept its ugly look. Yep, I'm a woman.

I'm not in a hurry in buying it, still have time to look around. You know if I buy, I have to make sure that it will last longer than a few years.

Specification looks good, but just not worth the money.

Get Apple if you want good looking.
Another good looking laptop would be hp envy.

However, I personally don't see the point to pay extra for the look.

Thanks! I'm just back from DickSmith to look at a real one, that's a cool look. I like internal look but the cover looks too flash for me.

However, this is another compettitor to Dell and Macbook pro. Thanks again.
