hi, i have a dell optiplex gx270 w/ an Intel® 82865G Graphics Controller and an ATI Radeon 7000. the ati has 32mb vram and the Intel® 82865G Graphics Controller has 96mb. Which one is better for games or even in general because the Intel® 82865G Graphics Controller has more mb. The Intel® 82865G Graphics Controller is onboard, and the Ati Radeon is AGP. My major concern is HOW DO I SWITCH BETWEEN THEM without taking the ATI out? I have been searching for the answer for the past 6 hours and can't find one! the rest of my specs are Windows xp pro, 120 gb hard drive, 1gb ram, and intel pentium 4 2.8 gxz processor. The bios wont let me disable the agp, my options in the bios are Auto, or AGP. Please help me, i would really appreciate it.:D :D :D :D :D :D btw im asking which one is better for games/in general because i read lots of bad things about on board video. THX!!

The onboard would be very bad, as well as taking up extra system resources. So, in other words, go with the Raedon 7000. And think about upgrading if you want to play any new games.

thx, i have the sff version so i need low profile cards since regular onews dont fit in. Why is the onboard one bad? is there anyway i can switch between the two, or combine them?

Oh man.. Listen.. I have used both. The Radeon 7000 is pretty much useless. I would use the onboard VGA myself. Believe it or not it probably has more oomph than that 7000 does. You can't just switch between the two though, you have to pull the 7000 out for the onboard VGA to work.

Just do benchmarks between the two and observe the differences.
