Hi and thanks in advance, I have a Dell XPS 8500 and on start up it has no beep... and is not doing anithing else... I have the yellow light on the MB I have change the PS and memory and mother board and HDD ..... I really don't know what to do next... HELP!!!

When you swapped motherboards did you have the same cpu or did each board have its own?

So what exactly are you trying to do? What cpu is installed? Is it a dell replacement motherboard? We need more information here.

My dell computer stop working few weeks ago... since then I been trouble shooting the computer. All what I'm getting is black screen and no beeps on boot up. I have change PS MB HDD memory even video card and still doing the same... the only thing I have notice is when I remove the memory the computer when is booting up beep twice... when I check what that means. .. it means it haven't detect any memory... so it make me go back to square one.

What speed of ram are you using and what size? Are you sure that ram is good? What video card is installed? How much video memory does it have?

Is the same as the old one... at this point I don't think the MB was the problem... I have swap memory from my other tower same size 2 4gig stick and still nothing

Unplug any hardware not needed to boot such as hard drive, cdrom drive, all usb devices and see if system boots up. Could be a hardware issue, sometimes a bad piece of hardware will stop pc from booting up.

I did that and is the same... I even put a self boot disk on the cd drive and is not loading... but yeah... I have disconnect everything even the usb conector etc and nothing I have tested the memory on my other tower and went to windows setting and the memory is there it has been recognized by windows... so the memory is working good

Are you sure the motherboard isn't shorting out against the case somewhere? Might have to take it in and have it diagnosed.
