My main point of this post is, are the Dell XPS laptops worth it? Do they last and perform well?
Also, feel free to post any links to a laptop that meets the minimum requirements I posted. I prefer the ASUS company but will settle for pretty much anything other than Apple, Lenovo, Compaq, Acer or Toshiba.

Of all of this, my only real requirements are that it absolutely MUST have:
A quad-core processor at least 2.0GHz
8GB RAM
At LEAST 320GB HDD
A dedicated graphics card with 2GB or more
Decent Battery Life (This means a bare minimum of 3 hours but preferring much higher)
My price range is $0-$1300 (slightly flexible, depending on the model)
It has to fit inside a backpack. (Very important!
