umm, hey, i just built a new computer, and i was wondering if u guys think my new buy was good.
You built one? Or you got one from dell? Either way, what are the specs and how much did it cost?

I agree, I hate Dells, they have horrible deals and none of their computers are built for gaming >< My Dell's harddrive fried in a year.

Dell didn't make your hard drive though, they just put the parts of the pc together, and sold it.

the specs were ...

ati radeon x300 128MB 128-bit PCI-Express

BAD BUY, anything that is dell is sh*t

huh? There are other things to do with a computer than overclocking and hardcore gaming you know.. Why shouldn't a computer novice who is looking for an internet or movie machine consider Dell? And yes they do have machines more than capable of handling abit of gaming as well.

Your Dell failing on you isn't a reason to make silly & false statements like that.

mine went in 6 months, then again at 8 months, the motherboard also fried

To answer your question, Demhaqehsa...while everyone else is debating the name brand issue of Dell...

And for lack of knowing any specs of the monitor... :o

For just any 19in flat pannel monitor for under $300 is a decent deal. I got my Acer which is probably not as good as your Dell from newegg.com for just under $300. So, if it works, I'd say you got a decent deal on it.

i dunno how you people fry your dells, and then blame it on dell. i have had 2 dells, a pentium 1, then a p2, both lasted forever until i upgraded and gave em away. my dad has a dell right now he's had for over a year at least, and runs just as good as the day it came home.
its like saying a honda civic is poopoo, but not everyone needs a corvette.
