My fan i think is making so much noise, how can i improve this? I went with a compressed air can and cleaned out some dust two days ago but seems to be making lots of noise again. What to do?

Also the compressed air can seemed to leave some white stuff on the fans after i sprayed.

The white stuff is just solid carbon dioxide. Under normal atmospheric pressure the CO2 would be a gas, hence why when it leaves the canister it turns from a liquid into a gas. You wouldnt be able to fit much CO2 inside the canister if it was stored as a gas, so they store it as a liquid to fit alot more CO2 in there. It's the same way propane tanks operate and its all base on the idea of gases turning into liquid when enough pressure is applied.

Which fan are you talking about? Video card fans are designed to run like jet engines if set to auto and the temp goes way up. If its one of your case fans or cpu fan then you can try a program called Speedfan and check the temperatures and fan speeds.

Or maybe its an optical drive constantly spun up?

I think it is the fan at the back the power supply unit fan. Should i take it out and go to a shop and get a new one?

before you do anything drastic, download HWMonitor and check your temperatures while idle (nothing else running)

Post a screenshot of your idle temps and we can go from there.
